It is woven from 100% polypropylene, chosen for wear resistance in high-traffic areas, with reinforced overlocked edges that resist fraying and are far less likely to catch on a pet's claws, which makes it a sensible choice for homes with animals. The TPR non-skid backing keeps it planted underfoot, and at just 0.4 inches thick it slides under doors without jamming, curling or creating something to trip over.

Cleaning is straightforward: shake it out, sweep or vacuum it, or rinse it with a garden hose. For a deeper clean it is machine washable in cold water and air dries without fading, and it is stain and fade resistant, so it holds its colour through repeated washes. Lay it on a clean, dry floor for maximum grip, and keep an eye on the edges in households with young children.
