Description
Kiln-turned glazing is unpredictable by nature, and that is exactly what makes these LuxAura vases worth owning. Each piece comes out of the firing with its own pattern of pooling, crazing and colour shift, so the vase you receive is not identical to the photograph or to anyone else's. The retro aesthetic is a result of the process rather than an applied effect. Reactive glazes were originally accidents of the kiln, and the tradition has kept them because the results are better than anything uniform.
Six finishes are offered: celadon, meteor, raindrop, rosy, rustic stoneware and soybean. They range from soft matte earth tones to deeper reactive glazes with visible movement, and they group well together because they share a form and a scale even when the colours differ. Two or three on a windowsill or a shelf make a small collection. Mixing two or three finishes reads as a deliberate collection rather than a set, and it is more interesting to look at than matched pieces.
The pure handmade ceramic body suits hydroponic plant cultivation, single-stem displays and desktop decoration. It is well sized for a desk, a bedside table, a bathroom shelf or a kitchen windowsill. Rinse and hand wash rather than using a dishwasher, dry thoroughly, and empty standing water regularly if it is used for hydroponic growing.

No two are the same
Hand glazing and kiln firing mean the colour pools and breaks differently on every piece, so yours is genuinely one of a kind.
Depth you notice up close
The glaze runs thicker at the shoulders and thins over the curves, giving the surface a richness that mass produced pieces never reach.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will mine look exactly like the photo?
Very close, though hand glazing means the colour pooling varies slightly from piece to piece. That variation is the point.
Is it suitable for fresh flowers?
Yes. It is sealed inside for fresh stems and works just as well with dried arrangements.
What makes kiln glazing different?
The glaze melts and flows during firing, creating depth and tonal variation that a painted finish cannot reproduce.
Is it heavy?
It has real ceramic weight, which is what keeps it stable with a full arrangement in place.
How do I clean it?
Warm water and a soft brush inside, and a dry cloth over the glaze outside.
